Dental School Application Checklist

Before AADSAS opens
Build a realistic school list, request transcripts, confirm recommenders, draft the personal statement, organize experiences, and decide whether your DAT timing supports the cycle.
This is also the best time to research state residency patterns and tuition exposure before application fees start stacking up.
During primary submission
Check coursework carefully, keep experience descriptions concise, submit letters through the correct process, and avoid last-minute school additions that were never evaluated.
After submission, track verification, secondary receipt, secondary submission, interview invites, and final decisions.
After submission
Secondaries and interviews become the work. Reuse stories intelligently, keep deadlines visible, and prepare school-specific answers before the invite arrives.
